What information do you need to size a silencer?

We need: fluid type (gas/steam), mass flow rate, inlet temperature and pressure, outlet pressure, pipe size and schedule, available space envelope, and your target noise level (dB(A) at specified distance). Our technical datasheet covers all required fields. We also need applicable design code (ASME, PED, IS).

What is the typical lead time for industrial silencers?

Standard silencers: 6–10 weeks from drawing approval. Complex gas turbine exhaust systems or wind tunnel silencers: 12–20 weeks depending on size and material. We offer expedited manufacturing for urgent projects — contact us to discuss. All schedules are confirmed at order stage.

Do you supply third-party inspection (TPI) services?

Yes. We coordinate with all major TPI agencies including TUV Rheinland, Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas, DNV, and PDIL. Our factory is pre-approved with most agencies. Witness inspection at our facility in Chennai can be arranged at any stage of manufacturing.

Can you design silencers for cryogenic applications?

Yes. We manufacture cryogenic silencers for LNG, liquid nitrogen, and liquid oxygen systems down to -196°C. Materials include SS 304L, SS 316L, and 9% Nickel steel. Low-temperature impact testing (Charpy) is performed on all materials per applicable code requirements.

What noise attenuation level can you achieve?

Our silencers achieve between 5 and 45 dB(A) insertion loss depending on type and application. Steam vent silencers typically achieve 30–45 dB(A). Compressor blow-off silencers achieve 25–35 dB(A). For applications requiring very high attenuation, multi-stage silencer arrangements are designed.

Do you export industrial silencers internationally?

Yes. We have exported to the Middle East (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait), Southeast Asia, Africa, and Europe. We handle all export documentation including commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, and any country-specific inspection certification. DDP, CIF, and FOB terms available.

Can SISCO supply the complete gas turbine exhaust system?

Yes — we specialize in complete exhaust system packages: exhaust duct, silencer, expansion joints, support structure, bypass stack, and main exhaust stack. This single-source supply simplifies your procurement, reduces interface risk, and improves delivery coordination. We've supplied complete systems for GE LM2500, LM6000, and Frame series turbines.

What materials are used in your acoustic fill/absorption media?

We use mineral wool, ceramic fiber, and glass fiber fill depending on temperature. All absorption media are retained in stainless steel perforated inner shells to prevent wash-out in high-velocity applications. For hygienic or pharmaceutical applications, alternative absorption media with cleanability are available.
